Lauren Conrad has two books coming out

So Lauren Conrad has two books coming out on the 5th of October 2010. One of them is a style book literally called "Style". Since she does have a sense of style I might get this book just to get some fashion inspirations from her.

The other book is the last installment of her set of trilogy called "Sugar and Spice". I probably won't get this one because I don't think that she can write and also because it's sort of just like an autobiography which is just like watching The Hills which I already have.

I wonder whose books would sell better? Lauren or Whitney?

Brothers movie review

Brothers is a movie with a lot of emotional turmoil. It is a story about Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal) who comforts his siter-in-law (Natalie Portman) and her children after his brother Sam (Toby Maguire) goes missing in Afghanistan. The family holds a funeral, and his wife and girls begin to move on, with a sober Tommy subbing, convincingly, as a husbandly and fatherly surrogate. He and Grace (Natalie Portman) just kissed but that's enough to drive the second half of the movie into madness. As it happens, Sam is very much alive, a hostage of aggrieved, camcorder-wielding Afghan fighters. While he and a private are subjected to mind-bending terror in Afghanistan, we're being tortured at home. Every time, the film cuts from the devastated look on Maguire's face to a scene of Gyllenhaal frolicking with the two girls or getting high with Portman, it's like being splashed with frigid water. Brothers is a remake of a 2004 Danish drama, directed and co-written by Susanne Bier. It is a must watch!=)

I recently read an article about "mengagement" which means men engagement, yes us women proposing to our counterparts! Apparently it's a trend now! The reason for this trend is because these women are scared their boyfriends would never pop the question on them, so they took the initiative instead. At first I was rather repulsive about the notion but to think about it if we are to treat us men and women equally shouldn't women also have the choice to propose to our boyfriends? I don't kno I still couldn't figure out which side to be on. Besides, what kind of mengagment ring would you get your boyfriend? But with me turning 25 soon and with my boyfriend still studying university, who knows? Maybe I will do a mengagment propsal!lol=P

Hands down to Tom Ford!

Recently watched Tom Ford's movie A Single Man and I have to say it was phenomenal! The cinematography was impeccable. The architecture of George Falconer's house was just exquisit. The wardrobe was also very convincing. Colin Firth did a very convincing portrait of remorse and grief.


The story is about an English professor who last his gay partner in a car accident and how he copes with it.

One thing for sure is that Tom Ford is coming back! Not only did he make his directoral debut but he's opening 4 new stores in Beijing and Shanghai! AND he has a new lipstick line! Who says Tom Ford can't live without Gucci?

Remember Me movie review

The story roughly starts in 1991 when Ally witnessed her mom murdered by two muggers. The story then flies us to 2001 when Tyler's older brother suicided then he got into a fight in an alley and got arrested by Ally's father. The story continues as Ally and Tyler fall in love with Ally not knowing Tyler knows her dad. The story also portrays the distant relationship between Tyler and his father and the close relationship between Tyler and his little sister.

This movie has a very interesting twist that will make you jump off your chair and cry to death.

If you love Robert Pattinson this is a movie you shouldn't miss! Enjoy!=)

This is a really nice halter neck dress with nice prints.

I love how this one has a jewel on it, makes it a lot more sophisticated. Plus it's waist hugging.

Rumor has it that fashionista Whitney Port is going to write an advice book called Tru Whit which will be about her becoming 25 and how she copes with it. The book will be released this August. I think I'll pick it up. It sounds more interesting than Lauren Conrad's novels. Let's see whose books sells better!
